I found no Bewick's Wren at my parents house; I guess he never got found a
partner or the yard was too crowded with all the House Wrens there.
Rhonda and I stopped by Stringtown Road (the Bourbon Co Scissor-tailed
Flycatcher site) to check for Bobolink and found at least 4 Dickcissel singing
at the single stop under the Sycamore tree as well as several Grasshopper
Sparrows both seen and heard. The Bobolink were no longer displaying over the
nesting area but many call notes were heard and several finally spotted in a
flyover. Included were several juvenile. A large portion of the surrounding
farm land there has not been mowed to the birds and the blue flowered chicory's
advantage.
