1. Walking to class on UK's campus, A big, very vocal Red-Tailed Hawk was
calling in a grove of Willow Oaks. He later flew out and lighted on top of a
light pole out in the wide open, just calling at the top of his lungs. It was
awesome. I was a little late for class. (Few days ago)

  2. Late yesterday, just after 9 pm, when there was still some light, heard an
Eastern Screech Owl in Meadowbrook Park. This park is right behind my
apartments, so I tramp out there often and it is the first time I've had a sign
of this species.

  3. Up all night working on an assignment and right outside my window in the
wee hours of the morning, a Great-Horned Owl was sympathizing with me about
being awake. (few days ago)

  Best birding wishes,
  Ben Albritton
