I walked on the Rails to Trails yesterday about 6:30. I have seen Common
Yellowthroats only a few times ever, but the one I watched yesterday was doing
a fine dance for his ladyfriend. Worm in beak, he flirted and fanned his
upright tail. It was a courtship display to rival anything I have seen on the
Nature Channel. Its been a great place to watch for young birds - I found a
Kingbird nest weeks ago and now see the baby Kingbirds everytime I walk in the
same area. There were baby tree swallows and baby bluebirds and a week ago I
saw two young minks playing. Last night I stopped at one point to watch a box
turtle cross the trail and was rewarded in getting to see a racoon cross in the
opposite direction. Internal Virus Database is out-of-date.
Checked by AVG Free Edition.
Version: 7.1.410 / Virus Database: 268.17.2/641 - Release Date: 1/20/2007
