Jennifer and I birded Taylorsville Lake today from 9 - noon.
At Vanburen Boat Ramp area
Bald Eagle -1 mature
Forsters Tern
Wood Duck-several
Great Egrets- several
Great Blue Herons-numerous
Cormorants- ten
Kingfishers-2
Yellow Billed Cuckoo
Indigo Buntings numerous
Wood Thrush several calling
White-eyed vireo couple
Kingbirds-several
Hummingbird-1
Field sparrow
Song Sparrow
and the other usual summer birds
State Park at Taylorsville Lake
Black Vulture-1
Turkey Vulture - many
Red Tail Hawk
Kingbirds
Indigo Buntings - many
White eyed vireo- several
Red eyed vireo
Blue gray Gnatcatcher- several
Acadian flycatcher
Summer Tanager
Common Yellowthroat
Field Sparrow
Towhee
