Yesterday we put the kayaks in below the Nolin Dam and took out at Houchins Ferry. The book said "a
good current on the Nolin River" so we expected a free ride until we hit the Green River. The water
was pretty much dead, so it was paddle, paddle the whole 10 miles. I'm looking forward to a spring
trip when more birds are singing.
Vireos- only Red-eyed and White-eyed
Warblers- Northern Parula, Yellow-throated, Cerulean, Louisiana Waterthrush (abundant, but not
singing much), Kentucky, Common Yellowthroat, Hooded, and Yellow-breasted Chat
Birding smiles. . . . .
