Made a very short run to Ballard this afternoon before work. Cool temps
and breezy here in western KY. Only had time to scope from the levee
and the duck banding station. Highlights include:
Great egret 100 +
Snowy egret 25 + (20 in one scan with the scope)
Least tern 25 + (adults)
Miss kite
Bald eagle
Solitary sp 4+
Least sp 3 (probably more in the flooded vegetation)
Pect sp 10+
semi sand 6
killdeer 100 +
semi plover 3
Yellow legs sp 4
Fish crow
Lots of swallows but not enough time.
