Indications are the Bush nominee for the Supreme Court, Judge John Roberts
is no friend to our environment and could tip the balance in favor of
unrestrained development. His record indicates a hostility to the Endangered
Species
Act in particular. He is also opposed to placing restraints on mountaintop
removal. This horrendous practice permanently destroys the very topography and
