"The nesting pair of Scissor-tailed Flycatchers continues to be observed
below Barkley Dam."
I watched the flycatchers this afternoon.  The nest can be observed from 
across the river.  The birds are attending the nest but I couldn't see young 
yet.  
Another note of interest is the increase in Ring-billed gull.  The majority 
are adult birds.  They have begun to sit on the lock at KY dam.  Let's hope 
they continue to collect here this winter.  I've found they are easily viewed 
from the break in the sidewalk along the dam road.
