On our afternoon walk today, Alison and I stopped before getting out of the 
backyard to admire a complete arc rainbow. It isn't too often that one has the 
entire half circle arc. While looking at the rainbow, I noticed a Rough-winged 
Swallow sitting on the powerline overhead, preening. I had left my camera in 
the house, but it was only a few steps to retrieve it. I likely would have 
overlooked the swallow but for the rainbow.
