Recent additions to the web page include an update to the status information
and related maps on Eurasian Collared-Doves.  There are now 26 locations in
20 counties where the species has been reported at least once.  In the past
2 years, July - September has been the "prime time" for locating new
communities of the species.  So be vigilant and please report any new
locations or new information about an existing location to me at
bennetts@xxxxxxxxxxxxx <mailto:bennetts@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> .
 
Frank Lyne has supplied several new pictures that are now posted.  Species
include:  Northern Flicker (male), Wild Turkey, Eastern Towhee, Eastern
Kingbird, Field Sparrow, Killdeer, and Belted Kingfisher.
 
Many people are not aware that I have tried to put directions to and maps of
some local western Kentucky birding locations.  A link to these may be found
by scrolling down the home page.  I intended this for visiting birders, but
others may be interested.
 
Also, it never hurts to mention the pictures by David Roemer previously
mentioned of the KY 453 Scissor-tailed Flycatchers.  If you wish to examine
any of the pictures or the Eurasian Collared-Dove updates, choose What's New
