[birdky] RFI: tripods

I'm thinking of replacing my tripod since I just replaced my scope.
However, unlike with scopes, there is essentially no information that I have
found online in terms of reviews and recommendations for birding tripods.
I'm not particularly price conscious since I plan to use it for a while.
So, any thoughts are appreciated, especially recommendations with details of
pros/cons (as opposed to just: I use XYZ and like it.). My scope is the
Swarovski AT-80 HD which has the Manfrotto-style quick release plate already
built onto the scope, so I am obviously leaning towards a Manfrotto or a
Swarovski tripod, but I have no idea what to get.
Please reply offline so as not to clutter up the listservs.
