Dear All:

With this e-mail I'd like to draw your attention to a major new addition
to

our Ivory-billed Woodpecker website, which focuses on the acoustic
search for the IBWO. The site gives visitors a chance to learn about our
acoustic efforts in both the field and laboratory. It includes sounds
and spectrograms of IBWO sound a-likes and enigmatic recordings that are
consistent with IBWO sounds. We hope the site will become an important
resource for those interested in reviewing/interpreting potential
acoustic evidence and those who are conducting their own searches.

The website is not meant to be a complete analysis of our acoustic work
nor

does it include all of the interesting sounds that we have recorded over
the years. Far from it, this has been an intense, dynamic process that
we continue to learn from each day. We plan to periodically add sounds
to these pages to give visitors a cross-section of what is being
recorded from

various habitats around the southeast.
