[birdky] MAPS at Clarks River NWR

We completed a MAPS banding session on June 15 and one June 30th. We
captured a total of 28 birds in these two sessions. Following are the species
and
numbers banded or recaptured.
Red-bellied Woodpecker - 2
Downy Woodpecker -1
Acadian Flycatcher -2
Tufted Titmouse - 1 new band 1- unbanded
Carolina Wren - 1
White-eyed Vireo -1 recapture
Red-eyed Vireo -1
Northern Waterthrush -1 (banded June 30th)
Louisiana Waterthrush -1
Kentucky Warbler -3 new bands 4 - recaptures
Northern Cardinal -3 new bands 4 - recaptures
Indigo Bunting -1 recapture
Brown-headed Cowbird - 1 recapture
Nesting Mississippi Kites are being seen on the refuge again this year. We
are also getting reports of kites in other areas of Marshall and McCracken
Counties.
