This is off-topic, apologize in advance. If anyone is interested, I have posted
a few photos from a recent 18-day work trip to southeastern Brazil. We worked
literally everyday there, but I did get to spend a couple of mornings at a
forest preserve on the edge of Rio Claro, which is where we were staying and
working. Though paltry by South American standards, the trip list was just
under 100, with about 70 lifers, actually better than I had expected under the
circumstances. I have a full species list and be glad to supply any further
details if anyone is interested in the area.
The photos are at: http://www.pbase.com/mctodd/brazil_trip_may_2006 . I didn't
take my scope on this trip, so all photos are with a 995 Coolpix with a 5X
EagleEye teleconverter. Many of the birds I really wanted to get shots of, such
as Hummingbirds, just didn't cooperate with this setup.
Good Birding!!
