[birdky] Need Help with an ID

I live in Florence, KY and this morning I heard a bird making a noise that
sounded like a discordant toy car horn. I saw a flash of yellow in a very
distant tree. One bird was an American Goldfinch, the other was the bird making
the car horn noise. It was a little bigger than the Goldfinch and had a yellow
breast, possibly a white eyebrow and a dark back. The dark color extended from
the back over the top of the head. I thought it might be a yellow breasted chat
but when I listened to the bird song on the Cornell website none of the chatter
sounded like this bird.
Any clue what I might have seen? Is it the Chat? There were two of them flying
around , but they were too far away to get a really good look at even though
they were sitting in the sun. They tended to stay sort of hidden in the leaves
of the tree.
