[birdky] feather question

while birding in Hancock County over the weekend, we ran across a
triangular-shaped brown - coppery in the sun - feather that was barred only on
the end,
which was squared off. The feather was no longer than three inches. It was
found in a clearing next to a wooded area. We hadn't seen a feather shaped like
this before, so if anyone has any ideas, pass them along.
