Clell Peterson and I went to look at the great Mississippi River this morning 
and returned by the Tennessee and Cumberland this afternoon.  Habitat was 
hard to access around the Mississippi since it is out of it's banks.  We did 
come 
across a few good birds though.  Following are the highlights:
Common Loon
DC Cormorant
Great Egret
Green Heron
Black-crowned night-heron
Wood Duck
Osprey
Mississippi Kite
Bald Eagle
American Kestrel
Northern Bobwhite
LAUGHING GULL
Ring-billed Gull
Herring Gull
Caspian Tern
Belted Kingfisher
SCISSOR-TAILED FLYCATCHER - young in the nest
Fish Crow
Cedar Waxwing
Prothonotary Warbler
La Waterthrush
Blue Grosbeak
Dickcissel
Hap
Murray, KY
