Two day weekend total for the cemetery exclusively was 74 species
including: 6 species in the thrush family, 18 warblers, and both
cuckoos. Also numerous White-throated Sparrows still around; many
Ruby-crowned Kinglets but no singing. I have seen more Ruby-crowns this
spring than ever but not the first song. There were also several Empids
not named. I had my best look ever at a Veery which hopped out from the
underbrush on to an open branch. It several single notes but never sang
for me. It was good to see you Jim.
