Haven't had as much time as I would like to get out this week but I got out 
at sunset for 25 minutes on Tuesday and 4 and a half hours on Thursday. 
Conditions not kind to binoculars which kept fogging up repeatedly causing 
several birds to go unid:
05/1

Solitary Sandpiper- 2 on Beargrass Creek where Cherokee meets Seneca Park by 
the bridge
05/3

Yellow-bl. Cuckoo
Ruby-thr. Hummingbird
Least Flycatcher- first this year
Eastern Kingbird- first for Cherokee this spring
Philadelphia Vireo- first one I've seen in years, not the brightest adult 
but clear enough to see distinctions
House Wren- first this year
VEERY- I watched this little guy for at least 5 min. while he foraged, the 
first one I've really seen in years
Gray-ch. Thrush
Swainson's Thrush
Wood Thrush
Chesnut-sd. Warbler- right by the road 5 feet off the ground, first for year
Cape May Warbler- 2 chasing each other behind mid-city mall
Black-and-white Warbler- foy
Ovenbird- 2 chasing eadch other foy
Northern Waterthrush- this little guy seems to have been occupying this 
territory (approximately 100 ft of temporary creek) for more than a week now
Summer Tanager
Swamp Sparrow- 1 imm. still hanging around
White- cr. Sparrow- 2 all expected sparrows except for Lincoln's and 
Savannah
Great Egret seen flying with the Bl.- cr. Night- Herons maybe they will join 
rookery again this year
