Got a chance to go to Ballard WMA mid day amongst heavy showers. The sandbar
at Mitchell Lake is just underwater and the shorebirds have found it. This
spot should be very good soon as the Dept of F &WL is still lowering Mitchell.
Cook slough is still holding some common species as well. Highlights include:
American Golden Plover 6 (field near Monkey's eyebrow tower)
Killdeer
Gr Yel lgs
L yel lgs
Solitary Sandpiper
Spotted Sand
Least Sand
Short-b dowitcher 4
Long-b dowitcher 1
Black poll warbler
Rose-br grosbeak
Bobolink
Now have 6 RBG's on my feeder today.
