We had a lovely bird walk this morning at the State Botanical Garden (The
Arboretum) in Lexington, KY. I'm sure I've forgotten a few, but here are
the highlights:
Brown thrasher
Mockingbird
Carolina wren
Ruby-crowned kinglet
Red-bellied woodpecker
Nashville Warblers
Yellow-rumped warblers
Two gorgeous yellow-billed cuckoos
Scarlet tanager
Baltimore orioles all over the place
Black & White warbler
White-eyed vireo
Red-eyed vireo
Many others . most of these were in the Arboretum Woods between 8 - 9:30
a.m.
Yesterday I also saw a great crested flycatcher in the Arboretum Woods.
