[birdky] Lewis County WMA

May 20, 2006: Lewis County WMA - On my way to South Shore this morning I
stopped briefly at the Rock Creek access site of the Lewis County WMA to
check on 2 wetlands. A quick peek at a small wetland near the parking
area produced a wood duck brood. At the long narrow wetland sandwiched
between two soybean fields, I got a quick glimpse of a prothonotary
warbler and a great egret. One of the wood duck boxes at this wetland
is harboring an active honey bee hive.
