The red-tail hawks are putting on a spectacular display of their mating
flight dance today at The Arboretum!  There are three of them, and so far
I've been unable to tell whether it's two males and one female or the other
way around.  I do know that one of the hawks that lives here is a
second-year male, so maybe he's only practicing.  Up and up they go, until
they are only specks in the sky, then DOWN they plummet, spinning cartwheels
as a pair of hawks practically collides just feet from the ground.  They
have been buzzing past visitors all morning, flying just a few feet past us
at eye level before going up again.  If you're in the area, you should stop
by for an AWESOME show!
