Hello Folks,

In response to Jeff Wilson's comments regarding the TRV Shorebird
Meeting, it must be said that Jeff was our guest speaker at the meeting.
He put together a huge number of slides to teach the group the finer
details of shorebird identification. He had some really remarkable
photos that pushed our id skills to the limit. I even heard Damien
Simbeck, one of the best birders that I know, pause and reflect on the
identification of a few choice birds. Jeff then took the group on a
personal tour of the "Pits" and continued his instruction in the field.

Jeff spent a great deal of time and effort in pulling his portion of the
meeting together. His pride and passion for wind birds really shows.
Thanks go out to Jeff for assisting TVA, TWRA, Kentucky F&W and the
USFWS in learning more about shorebirds in the Valley. We also thank
Chris Park (TWRA) for providing an excellent facility for the meeting.

Many of the participants of the list serves regularly assist us in our
shorebird counts, these folks include Hap Chambers and Mike Todd. Ken
Dubke provided a huge amount of historic shorebird data from the
Chattanooga area and other portions of east TN. Thanks also go out the
these folks as well. If you would like to get involved in assisting the
agencies listed above in documenting the shorebird resources in the
Tennessee River Valley please contact me at thhenry@xxxxxxx and we will
find a way to make it happen.

Thanks again Jeff!
