We've also had an explosion of R-b Grosbeaks and Indigo Buntings in our yard.
On Sunday, there were about 5 males of each species and one or two females.
Today (Wednesday) I have so far counted 14 male and at least that many female
grosbeaks. We had 12 Indigo Buntings and 10 females chowing down on Niger seed
this morning. This bonanza of beauty happens once in awhile in spring, but
certainly not every year. Lovely to see.

We had the first Eastern Wood Pewees in our neighborhood yesterday. There were
NONE, and now there are many. Hard to miss!

Have also had the following in the yard since Sunday: Ovenbird (2), Swainson's
Thrush, American Redstart, Cerulean, Chestnut-sided, Magnolia, Palm,
Black-and-White, and Yellow Warblers, along with masses of Yellow-rumps, and
several Prothonotaries.
