[birdky] Rpt: Whip-poor-will nest in Rowan Co

Tuesday, May 2, 2006: I bumped a whip-poor-will off her nest this
morning here in Rowan County. She flew about 5 yards and landed on a
fallen branch. She held her wing down and shook it a little to keep my
attention away from her eggs. Two eggs were laying side-by-side on top
of the leaves. Habitat was dry upland oak forest where the ice storm of
2003 knocked down numerous trees.
