[birdky] Barn Swallow nest building

Back in April, I accidently knocked down the old Barn Swallow nest while doing
some repair work on the stable. Trying to be helpful, I nailed a little plank
up under a loft support beam at a couple of locations, thinking that one or the
other would make a good foundation for a new nest. The Barn Swallows apparently
didn't consider either little plank to be up to codes. Instead, they choose a
nail driven in one of the loft beams as a foundation for their new nest, which
is now about complete. I thought for a while they weren't going to rebuild at
all. They have been back in town for some while, but just started building a
nest here a few days ago. I think they considered rebuilding in an old country
store building down the road, but eventually changed their minds. They may have
been afraid people would start calling then Store Swallows.
