Sauerheber Shorebird Unit: growing up in vegetation -- no shorebirds

Slough along north side of KY 268 west of the WMA: many fewer birds; yesterday 
was why I call it "Semi" Slough ... 50 scattered Semi Plovers; 12 Semi Sands; a 
couple of Leasts and a couple of Spotteds.

Slough along east side of Horseshoe Road, farther out west of the end of KY 
136: I've had nice flocks of shorebirds out here in the past, but usually after 
floodwaters are receding. Yesterday there was one nice group on the one slough 
there including 70+ Semi Plovers, sev Killdeer; 2 Spotted Sps; 1 Gr Yellowlegs; 
2 Les Yellowlegs; 2 gorgeous Ruddy Turnstones; 90+ Semi Sps; 10+ Least Sps; 54+ 
Dunlin (some that glowed red, white and black!); 4 Stilt Sps (2 in seemingly 
immaculate plumage); and 41+ S-b Dowitchers (including one of the dull eastern 
race).
