Things are still pretty active at Berea College Woods. = The new stuff this
morning for me: two nice male Canadas, both singing. = And I heard a Veery
singing.

I'm disappointed that I haven't yet found a Conn. Warbler (which I don't =
really expect), Mourning, or Golden-Winged. I somehow think I should = have
found a couple of Mournings by this point. I'm saddest about the =
Golden-Winged. Some years ago when I was living in Louisville, I could =
usually count on finding at least a handful of Golden-Winged. It's been =
sadto notice their decline. Even before I moved from Louisville in '98, = I
was noticing fewer of them. I saw a lot in Minnesota (along with Conns = and
Mournings)...then I came back here last summer and haven't seen or = heard
even one. That stinks.
