Have been covered up lately and haven't seen much of spectacular nature.

Jane and Pat Bell and I had a Conn Warbler on the family farm in e.
Jefferson Co. this morning. I have heard of a few other Connecticuts being
seen lately including at Land Between the Lakes, Mammoth Cave NP, Cumberland
Gap NP, and I think I heard about one second-hand from Caperton Swamp Nature
Preserve in Jefferson Co. (unless this was a ref to ones seen in past
years).

Matt Stickel counted 133 [!] Dunlin at McElroy Lake on May 16th.

Kerry Prather with the Ky Dept of Fish and Widlife Resources saw 3 Black
Scoters [including an adult male!] at Lake Herrington in central Ky on May
6th for a new late spring depature date and one of only a few records of
adult males.

In the past week and a half, I have not seen a lot of extraordinary nature,
but it's been nice to finally tick a few birds like Philly Vireo and Canada
Warbler. There are a couple of singing Sedge Wrens in a hayfield on the farm
in Jefferson Co. Got a new Kentucky bird in Henderson County the other day .
. . a Masked Bobwhite . . . walking across a farm field west of Sauerheber.
Wish game farms would keep to local stock :o(
