The transient lakes and a few wet-weather ponds in
southern Warren County have been sustained by the
cool, cloudy weather and additional rainfall, and
continue to host small numbers of shorebirds.  McElroy
is still a series of shallow pools rather than a lake,
 and the number of birds present remains low.  

Lesser Yellowlegs make up the majority of birds
present at these spots, with small numbers of Greater
Yellowlegs, Pectoral, Least, Solitary, and Spotted
Sandpipers also usually found.  Additionally, the
following species of interest were present as listed:

Peregrine Falcon  adult..no shorebirds other than the
one being digested

Walton's Pond

Willet

Long-billed Dowitcher 14
Black-bellied Plover 2
Semipalmated Plover 
White-rumped Sandpiper

A few Blue-winged Teal are present at most bodies of
water.  A pair at Walton's Pond on April 24 had 2
ducklings in tow.
