[birdky] birdky: My first Redstart!

Hi,
I'm from Lexington. Saw my first Redstart yesterday.
There is a White Fir, conveniently placed for bird watching from my
upstairs window, that is incredibly attractive to warblers this time of
year. I have seen as many as five different species in it at the same time.
Magnolia, Cape May and Yellow Rump have been daily visitors. I've seen Pine
and Black Throated Blue as well, plus Ruby Crowned Kinglets. Today the
Redstart showed up. Also had a Baltimore Oriole play a brief visit.
If anybody is thinking they should plant this kind of tree, the
"official" name is Abies Concolor...<g>
BTW I'm new to this list. Just signed up yesterday after a great bird
walk led by Dave Skinner of KY Nature Preserves.
Bonnie
