Once an egg hatches the broken shells are removed from the nest by the
parents.  Obviously such egg shells would have no egg yolk or much other
remains of the egg contents inside them so they look pretty clean.  Your
eggs are probably from a Robin or Bluebird nest and the baby birds are
doing fine.
