Dear KOS,
Shawchyi Vorisek and I (Beth Ciuzio) very much enjoyed speaking to you this
past weekend at the KOS spring meeting at Blue Licks State Park. If you did
not get to attend the meeting, I would like to tell you about the projects
for which we are seeking volunteers.

Waterbirds (Beth Ciuzio)
-Conduct a shorebird survey in an area that you visit often, such as a WMA
or on private property that you have permission to visit. Places that we are
particularly interested in are:
        Sloughs, Ballard and Westvace WMAs, Barkley and KY Lakes, McElroy
Lake, Fish hatcheries, and 
        the Woodburn lakes.
-Report new heron rookeries to KDFWR

Landbirds (Shawchyi Vorisek)
-Help with the golden-winged warbler atlas project:
        Look for golden-winged warbler in these counties: Martin, Pike,
Knott, Letcher, Bell, Harlan, Knox,
        Boyd, Lawrence, Floyd, Johnson, Magoffin, Clay, McCreary, Whitley,
and Laurel counties.
-Report Peregrine Falcon activity
-Report Eagle nest sighting
