Well the score this morning was Connecticut Warblers THREE, four Beckham
Bird Club birders (ZERO)!  We got repeated good listens to loud intermittent
song (sometimes two could be heard at once) but only a couple of fleeting
glimpses . . . another typical day in pursuit of perhaps the most prized of
spring migrant warblers.  Maybe better luck later or tomorrow.  Anyone
within striking distance of my family's farm in Jefferson County is welcome

This cold weather has a weird mix of early and late birds; a Yellow-rumped
Warbler flew over this AM, establishing a new late KY spring date by three
days (I saw one in LBL on Sunday, matching old date). I don't doubt that
there are others around, so if you think you see a Yellow-rumped this week,
please carefully check your ID and report it to BIRDKY.  There was still a
Palm in LBL on Monday (another near late record).

Also singing this morning were 2 Alder Flycats, 1 Yellow-bellied Flycat, 1
Least Flycat, 1 Wilson's, 1 Canada, and 1 Mourning Warbler along with
Chestnut-sided, Tennessee, Magnolia.
