Tom Durbin, Diane Elmore and I observed a lone male Red-necked Phalarope
this morning at McElroy Lake in Warren Co. Tom said that this bird was much
duller than any of the three Red-necked Phalaropes he saw yesterday. Also
observed in the area were several species of shorebirds including: Ruddy
Turnstone, Black-bellied Plover, Semipalmated Plover, Stilt Sandpiper, and
White-rumped Sandpiper. A few Black Terns were also observed. Tom may update
this report later today.
