There is a nesting pair of Bewick's Wrens in the yard of Laura and Carey
Burford, who live in northern Scott County.  Some of you may know Laura, who
works with the Ky. Dept. of Fish and Wildlife Resources.  Birders are
welcome to come by, but you should call (between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and
8:00 p.m. EDT) to set up a time to visit (502/535-4620).  

Directions to the site are as follows (DeLorme, p. 37, block A-8).  I'll
start at Stamping Ground, NW of Georgetown.  Out of Stamping Ground, take,
KY 227 N through Minorsville and then 1-2 miles to Plummer Road (paved on
right).  The Burfords live in the first house on the right (white on top of
the small knoll) on Plummer Road.  Easy enough, aye? :o)  From the Cincy
area, you can get there via the Sadieville exit and KY 32, but will have to
take the back roads using the Gazetteer or county map (I'd be afraid to try
to map it all out!).
