[birdky] BirdKy report Boone Co. Spring Count

The Boone County spring migration count was held on May 11, 2002. Fifteen
people participated, tallying 120 species. Highlights included Black-bellied
Plover (2), Willet (1), Black-billed Cuckoo (2), Gray-cheeked Thrush (1),
Loggerhead Shrike (1), 26 species of warblers including Black-throated Blue and
Wilson's, and Pine Siskin (2). Also of note was the nest of a Wild Turkey with
11 eggs and an active Great Blue Heron nest seen at the East Bend Power Plant,
believed to be the northernmost nesting known from Kentucky.
