Herb and I have owned this property at Falls of Rough,Ky for about 35
years and for about 20 years we had Bewick's wrens. We never had House
Wrens (we had Carolina wrens) but when a house wren arrived one year(do
not know the date-Brainard would have it in his records) the Bewick's
disappeared. Herb took pictures many times and they would have the
dates, Our friends on Hwy,#62 in Leitchfield,Ky had them last year and
then the By-Pass went thru their peoperty and the whole area where their
house was is destroyed (they may have hung around the area but is really
cleared out of any vegetation. ) The Wilson Dental Clinic is still in
that area and I hope they are atill around. I thinkBrainard also found a
singing male on Hwy.#79 near Caneyville on Watershed Road.Hope this
helps a little bit--Kathryn Clay,Falls of Rough,Ky.
