[birdky] (Birdky) A strange site

I'm new here and wanted to tell you about a  bird we found in the backyard.  I 
live on a farm and have all kinds of  birds frequent our yard and ponds, but 
this one was something I had never seen before.  I looked it up in my Bird 
book..and still not believing what I saw, I did a google..and sure enough it 
was a "Chukar".  When I read about it, it talked about them being from 
Afganistan, Pakistan, etc..and then went on to say they were in the Western 
U.S.  but not here in KY..
I was trying to find out if someone has let some loose, or if it was a lost 
bird, etc..
Maybe there is a private gaming ranch somewhere that I don't know about, but it 
was just wild to see it.  It wasn't afraid of us, it stayed fairly close until 
our Beagle got wind of it and chased after it.  It did come back later that day 
but I haven't seen it since.  That was on Tuesday.

Today I saw a Great Blue Heron, he was in a small puddle out in the field.  
He's always a site to see.
