Birded Meadowbrook park this morning, and walking along the W. Hickman Creek
tributary that runs through the park heard a Louisiana Waterthrush sing twice
up ahead in a thicket next to the stream bank. I waited still for a few
minutes and was rewarded with the bird coming out onto and hopping around on a
sediment bar in the creek and on the bank no more than about 25 to 35 feet from
me, giving me a prolonged, unobstructed, close view! Made my day.
Best birding wishes,
Ben Albritton
Lexington, KY.
