Society.  This update is current as of April 24, 2006 at 4:00 PM EDT.
The highlights of this update are:

 

On Friday afternoon the 21st, 20 MARBLED GODWIT were seen at the ash
basin in Peabody WMA. No mention has been made of them since. BANK
SWALLOWS were also mentioned from the ash basin. 

 

The SNOW X ROSS'S GOOSE hybrid reported last week was still at Griffin
Park as late as the 20th.  

 

A YELLOW-CROWNED NIGHT-HERON was seen at Camperton Swamp on the 23rd ,
with a YELLOW-BILLED CUCKOO also being reported from there. 

 

A single male WILSON'S PHALAROPE was observed at the shorebird
impoundment of the Sauerbeher unit of the sloughs in Henderson on
Saturday the 22nd. It was reported to be associating with DUNLIN AND
LESSER YELLOWLEGS. 

 

A VEERY  was reported at Mammoth Cave National Park on Saturday. Other
birds mentioned for the first time this migration season were: TENNESSEE
and NASHVILLE WARBLERS and YELLOW-BREASTED CHATS from Caperton Swamp on
the 23rd; ORANGED-CROWNED WARBER at Tom Sawyer State Park on the 22nd;
PHILADELPHIA VIREO (17th) and ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAK (16th) from
Calloway County; NORTHERN WATERTHRUSH at the sloughs on the 22nd;  and
LINCOLN'S SPARROW from Fulton county on the 22nd.

 

SEDGE WREN were mentioned from the sloughs and from Ballard WMA. SORAS
were also noted at Ballard.
