took a walk with my grandchildren on the farm after church and lunch. We saw
and heard the following highlights:
Hooded Warbler, Scarlet Tanager, Prairie Warbler, Blue winged Warbler, Worm
eating Warbler, Louisiana Waterthrush.

Still present at the feeders, Pine Siskins, Purple finches, Junco and White
Throated Sparrow (singing, love the song).

I visited the eagle nest at Cave Run on Friday, and sadly, the parents have
abandoned the nest. Fred Busroe and Wes Maddox had reported no activity about
2 weeks ago. Friday we did see the adults but they were not hanging around the
nest as they have done in the past. The nest looks droopy, not as sturdy as
before. A number of things could have caused the loss of this nest. I think
we were spoiled due to the success of the past years.
