Lucky You! I have had my hummer feeder out for a week now with no guests yet! Last year I had almost 30 at a time (hard to count them, but I got close to 30 before I messed up ). It isn't safe to sit on our deck, ha ha... but the wonderful feeling I get being surrounded by them is worth the risk of losing an eye .

After seeing reports of hummingbird sightings by others on this listserv, we decided to put out one of our hummingbird feeders this Tuesday. We had our first observed visitor late afternoon of the very next day - a male Ruby-throat.
