  Saturday, three determined or insane folks met Rusty Hamilton at the Lost 
Creek Boat Ramp on Paintsville Lake to go to the Raven's nest.  We did not see 
the Ravens or find a new nest.  We did see the nest from last year and it 
looked as if new material had been added but no birds.  We traveled around to 
an area where Scott Friedhof and Rusty had heard birds a while back, but once 
again we were not successful. 
   
  Even with the nasty weather we still heard Black and White Warbler, Blue 
headed Vireo, Louisiana Water Thrush.  We saw both Turkey and Black Vultures, 
Kingfisher, Red-breasted Nuthatch, Blue-Gray Gnatcatcher, Pileated Woodpeckers 
and crows.  There were lots of waterfalls and clifflines to enjoy.  The day was 
a success, thanks to Rusty.
   
  Today heard Black throat green, Purple finches and Junco still here and 
whip-or-will is singing!  Yahoo!  Spring is here.
