Nine observers braved the blustery weather for a
fabulous trip to the Sloughs WMA in Henderson County. 
Eighty-one species were observed with the highlight
being an adult light-morph Swainson's Hawk well seen
by all observers and photographed over Pond Creek
Marsh.  This represents the first fully documented
record of the species for Kentucky.

A pair of Cinnamon Teal was present and photographed
at the Woods Tract with nice comparison of the female
with Blue-winged Teal.

Bald Eagle (5+)
King Rail (1 vocalizing at close range)
Virginia Rail (1)
Sora (15+)
Gr. Yellowlegs (appr. 50)
Lesser Yellowlegs (appr. 200)
Solitary Sandpiper (2)
Pectoral Sandpiper (appr. 300)
Dunlin (3)
Stilt Sandpiper
Dowitcher sp. (prob. SB) Heat distortion prevented ID
Fish Crow
Marsh Wren (3)
American Pipit (50)
Vesper Sparrow (2)
