[birdky] FYI Bowling Green area

Dear KY Birders:

I will be visiting the Nashville TN area, and would like to come up to
Kentucky for a bit of birding in your state. I'll be in for the weekend of
April 22, and my target birds include Worm-eating Warbler, Acadian
Flycatcher, and Kentucky Warbler. Any of those would be life birds for me,
but I'd most like to see the KY Warbler in its name state!

I've studied the KOS pages, but didn't find much listed for the area in and
around I-65 between the KY/TN border and Bowling Green. I've been on this
list a few weeks, and have noted that the University has some good areas.
Are these written up somewhere I've not yet discovered on the web?

Is it too early to search for Chuck-will's-widow in south-central KY? If
there's a chance they are back, are there any favorite old country roads
from which to search for them?

Also, I might choose (instead) to visit Old Mulkey Meetinghouse State Park
(I am a professor of American religious history, so this would be of
interest to me even without birds). The state park website for Old Mulkey
has a picture with some trees around, but I'd like to know if there are
birders on this list who've more live experience with this location, and
advice concerning it (and other areas around there that would be good).

Appreciate your letting me pester you with questions. Thanks in advance,
and let me know if you need advice for my local area, Half Moon Bay,
California, one of the best birding areas in northern California (our CBC
often finishes in the top 10 of the nation for total species seen).
