[birdky] Lake Barkley-Trigg Co.

Just north of the Hwy 68/80 Bridge area at Lake Barkley yesterday about 200
White Pelicans and about the same number of Cormorants were feeding together.
The flocks swam together in a large mixed mass feeding on small shad. The
feeding activity appeared to be entirely symbiotic with the Cormorants diving
for fish and the Pelicans catching shad driven to the surface by the Cs.
I checked 4 of the 5 Osprey nests near or on the Bridge and all had Ospreys
present. Our second Osprey egg arrived at our cam nest recently which can be
viewed at the 2005 Osprey Cam link at: http://www.biology.eku.edu/KEEP.html
thanks to Gary - to see the eggs, see the most recent image saved by Cornell in
the Os archieved section if the female is most likely incubating at the live
image.
