[birdky] bird question

I've been watching the spring bird postings, and I think I'm seeing a trend. I
don't know if it's real or not.
It seems to me that many of our migrants, breeding birds and otherwise, appear
first in the western part of the state. Is this true ? Is there any data to
support or refute this notion?
I'd be interested in hearing opinions.

p.s. First spring rough-winged and cliff swallows yesterday at Nolin Lake.
