In addition to the birds that Tom Durbin reported
yesterday, there was a male Cinnamon x Blue-winged
Teal present at Chaney Lake in Warren County.  I
actually got a brief and distant glimpse of the bird
last week with a flock of Blue-winged as they flew
through the trees and suspected either Cinnamon or
hybrid, but it was just a flash of bright color in the
flock and I wasn't certain.

The birds are often in the weeds over on the preserve
and not viewable, but while I was there on April 9
they were in the open and I was able to confirm the
ID.  The teal is very bright but has a pale crescent
on the face.
